Stop Union Busting

Coast Guard Keep Out!

For the past year, workers of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) at the port of Longview, Washington have waged a bitter battle against union-busting. A giant grain consortium, EGT, has built a $200 million terminal which it is running with non-ILWU labor. Now the U.S. Coast Guard says it will deploy armed cutters and helicopters to escort a ship to EGT’s scab terminal. It’s the first time the U.S. military has been used in a labor dispute in 40 years. Join us to condemn military union-busting.
